    Pierre Fichet was born on 10th August 1927 in Paris and passed away on 8th January 2007. Pierre Fichet belongs to the second generation of Post-War abstract artists. Paintor of l’abstraction lyrique, his first work of art dates from 1947. He took part in many collective and solo exhibitions from the 1950s. 1952: First exhibition at the maison des Beaux-arts in Paris. 1954: First exhibition of abstract paintings at the Galerie Arnaud, Paris, where he is represented until 1969. Pierre Fichet's art is gesture painting, exploring immediate expression, seaking the 'trapped' sensation.
